Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

01 — The service

What settd is

settd is a bike setup management tool operated from the Portes du Soleil, Canton du Valais, Switzerland. The service is provided as-is. We don't offer uptime guarantees, SLAs, or 24/7 support — but we do care about reliability and fix things quickly when they break.

The free tier is genuinely free. Paid tiers give you more bikes and features. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

02 — Your data

You own your data

All setup data, bike profiles, sessions, runs, and attachments you create in settd belong to you. By using the service, you grant settd a limited license to store and process that data for the sole purpose of running the app for you.

We do not claim ownership of your data. We do not sell it. If you delete your account, your data is deleted. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

03 — Acceptable use

Keep it reasonable

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract data from other users' accounts
  • Share login credentials or account access with people outside your team
  • Use settd for anything illegal, harmful, or that violates others' privacy

04 — Subscriptions

Cancel anytime

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time — your plan remains active until the end of the billing period, then downgrades to the free tier. No lock-in.

We don't offer refunds for partial months. If something is badly broken and you've been unable to use the service, email us — we'll look at it case by case.

05 — Intellectual property

What belongs to whom

The settd name, logo, design, and all site content (text, graphics, code) are the property of settd and may not be copied, modified, or redistributed without permission.

Your data — bike setups, sessions, runs, notes, attachments — remains yours. We claim no ownership over user-generated content. The limited license you grant us is solely for operating the service on your behalf.

06 — Liability

Provided as-is

settd is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, data accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid to settd in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Swiss law.

07 — Termination

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. On deletion, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or remain inactive for more than 12 months. We will notify you by email before any termination.

08 — Age

16 and over

settd is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you're under 16, you need parental or guardian consent to use the service.

09 — Governing law

Swiss law applies

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Canton du Valais, Switzerland. If you're a consumer in the EU, you may also have rights under your local consumer protection laws that we can't override.

For privacy-related complaints, you may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at www.edoeb.admin.ch.

10 — Changes

We'll tell you if things change

If we make material changes to these terms — things that affect your rights or how your data is used — we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Minor changes (typos, clarifications, restructuring) may happen without notice. The current version is always published at settd.ch/terms.

11 — Severability

If a clause is invalid

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
